Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Steel and Stud (Carports and More, Inc.) gives every visitor — regardless of state — the choices below. Details about what we collect and why are in our Privacy Policy and Cookie & Tracking Policy.

1. Opt out of targeted advertising (“sale”/”sharing”)

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do use Google advertising cookies to show Steel and Stud ads on other sites based on your visits here — which some state laws call “sharing” or a “sale” of identifiers and internet activity, made to Google LLC. To opt out:

1. Cookie Preferences: click “Cookie Preferences” in the footer and turn off Advertising (and Analytics, if you wish). (Banner rolling out together with this page — the options below work today.)
2. Global Privacy Control: turn on GPC in your browser or install a GPC-enabled extension (globalprivacycontrol.org). From the date our consent banner is live, we treat the signal as a valid opt-out for that browser.
3. Ask us: email info@steelandstud.com with subject “Opt Out” or call 1-877-275-7048. No account, no ID, no fee.
4. Google-side controls: adssettings.google.com, plus the industry tools at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org.

Opting out means our ads will be less relevant to you; it does not reduce your access to the Site, pricing, or service in any way.

2. Opt out of marketing email and calls

• Email: click “unsubscribe” in any marketing email, or email us with “Unsubscribe” in the subject. Processed within 10 business days (usually immediately). We may still send transactional messages about an active quote or order.
• Phone: tell our specialist “please don’t call me again” or email us; we add you to our internal do-not-call list within 10 business days.
• Text messages: we do not send marketing texts.

3. Access, correction, deletion, and portability requests

You may request that we: tell you what personal information we have about you (including, where your state provides it, the specific third parties that received it); correct it; delete it (including session recordings associated with you); or give you a portable copy.

Two ways to submit — no account needed:

• Email info@steelandstud.com, subject “Privacy Request” (tell us: your name, the email/phone you used on the Site, your state, and what you want).
• Call 1-877-275-7048.

What happens next: we confirm receipt, verify you by matching details you provide against our records (we will never demand a photo ID for an opt-out), and respond within 45 days. If a request is complex we may take one 45-day extension and will tell you why. If we deny a request, we explain the reason.

4. Authorized agents

You may have an agent (a person or business) submit an opt-out request for you. For access or deletion requests we may ask the agent for written proof of your permission and verify your identity directly with you.

5. Appeals

If we decline your request, reply to our decision with “Appeal” in the subject within 45 days, or send a letter to our mailing address. A different reviewer will decide your appeal within 45 days and explain the outcome in writing. If your appeal is denied, you can raise a complaint with your state Attorney General — for example: California (oag.ca.gov), Texas (texasattorneygeneral.gov), Colorado (coag.gov), Connecticut (portal.ct.gov/ag), or your own state’s AG office.

6. Our promises

• Non-discrimination: exercising any right never affects your pricing or service.
• No sensitive data: we do not collect or sell sensitive personal information, and we do not knowingly sell or share data of consumers under 18.
• Records: we keep opt-out and suppression lists so your choice sticks.
